  I visited Lowes Orangeburg on a Wednesday evening with the intention of purchasing a large tool chest. The store was not busy. With a couple exceptions, all the employees here seem to go above and beyond to AVOID assisting customers. I'm usually a pretty patient and understanding customer, especially with the week after black Friday return rush. Though my most recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I went to customer service to ask for help as there was no one in the area. One associate walked over and waited with the item I wanted and asked me to get a cart from the other side of the store. When I returned he was gone. Whatever - I proceeded to load the tool chest on to the cart by myself. While I'm struggling to get the box down and on to the cart, an employee walks by me, looks at me, and doesn't even pause or say a word, just keeps walking. I go to check out with my item which was pretty painless. Though there was no offer or question as to whether I needed assistance loading the box into my car. The final straw was when I rolled my cart out of the store, it set off the anti-theft alarm. An employee ran outside to stop me and check my receipt. After seeing I wasn't stealing, the employee just walked right back inside. As in, thanks for just spending 600 bucks with us, good luck loading that 175 lb. box in your car! I got the box loaded, but my back is gonna be killing me tomorrow and I definitely won't be back here.
